Education Committee
To provide Christian education opportunities to members of all ages
That everyone, through the Word and Sacrament, know God and His love in Christ.
Sub-Committee of Education – Sunday School
To provide a Scripturally-and Confessionally-based Christian Education program for children ages 3 years through high school, year-round.
To faithfully aid the teaching of the Holy Scriptures to the children by attending to the various details needed to operate smoothly.
Sub-Committee of Education – Vacation Bible School
To provide a Scripturally-and Confessionally-based educational program for children ages 3 years through the 6th grade during the summer.
To faithfully aid the teaching of the Holy Scriptures to the children by attending to the various details needed to operate smoothly.
Sub-Committee of Education – Weekday Education
To provide an educational program during the school year for children in 1st grade through 6th grade for a specified time during the week.
To faithfully aid the teaching of the Holy Scriptures to the children by attending to the various details needed to operate smoothly.
Sub-Committee of Education – Adult Bible Study
To work in supporting continuing education in the Word of God for the adults of the congregation.
To reach out to the adult membership in an effort to reinforce the importance of Adult Bible study, and seeking to increase attendance.
Sub-Committee of Education – Library
To support the congregation by providing books, videos, etc., for congregational use.
To maintain, together with the Pastor and/or Elders, Scripturally-and Confessionally-sound materials in the library, in an orderly fashion.
Sub-Committee of Education – Scholarships
To provide monetary scholarships to the members of the congregation attending synodical schools.
To help the members of the congregation attending synodical colleges/universities, parochial elementary/high schools receive a Christian education by giving them a designated monetary scholarship.
Evangelism Committee
Manage the Evangelism programs. Discover and develop any evangelistic talents within our members and cause them to extend into the community.
Promote evangelism from within the congregation and to spread the Gospel to unchurched and prospective members.
Finance Committee
To manage the financial resources.
Sound, responsible financial management.
Missions Committee
To promote support of current and long-range goals for local and world-wide missions.
Having the Congregation informed of the Congregation, Circuit, District, and Synod mission programs.
Property Committee
To manage the physical property
To adequately maintain the property so that its value, aesthetics, and function are preserved.
Social Welfare Committee
To assist needy individuals and manage social activities.
Special Committee – Audit
To provide a general audit of the congregation and its auxiliary organizations annually.
To, through an audit of the congregation’s financial records, determine that appropriate accounting methodology is being employed and that the monies are being spent according to the declared interest and purpose of the congregation.
Special Committee – Gifts
To assist the Council in managing special gift (i.e. memorial) to the congregational in a manner which is both God-pleasing and beneficial to the congregation.
To make recommendations to the Council as to the best and most proper use of memorial money gifted to the congregation (taking into consideration the expressed feelings of those contributing the monies).
Stewardship Committee
To promote good and wise use of congregational members’ time, talents, and treasures.
To make all members aware of their stewardship responsibilities to the Congregation, District, and Synod. To help members become active in, and a part of the life of the parish.
Worship Committee
To oversee and manage the equipment/schedules necessary to insure God-pleasing worship
Youth Committee
To manage the youth program.
